Artist Biography

Lou Lou Safran embarked on her artistic journey on the silver screen, making notable appearances in blockbuster hits such as The Conjuring Universe’s hit horror 'Annabelle: Creation' - playing an orphaned young girl terrorised by the evil doll - and Nicolas Sparks’s sweeping romance 'The Choice'. However, it is her profound passion for music that has always been at the forefront of her endeavours. Influenced by a diverse range of musical icons including Alex Turner, Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nelson and Dusty Springfield, Lou Lou’s musical prowess blossomed from a young age. Inspired by Eddie Vedder's "Ukulele Songs", she began her musical journey with the ukulele before transitioning to the guitar. At the tender age of eight, she penned her debut single, "My Own Yellow Brick Road," igniting her passion for songwriting and recording. The pandemic-induced lockdown served as a catalyst for her creative resurgence, leading to a deeply cathartic period of songwriting.

Lou Lou’s upcoming debut album, "How To Hang Out With Friends Like Nothing Is Wrong", encapsulates her musical evolution over the past several years. "The album sounds like a love child of singer-songwriting and rock," laughs the songstress. “It goes from lyrical ballads all the way to a blazing rock anthem in under 40 minutes.” This album offers a poignant reflection on the complexities of adolescence. With its impending release, Lou Lou aims to provide listeners with a glimpse into the contemporary teenage experience while navigating the tumultuous waters of self-discovery.

During summer of ‘23, Lou Lou Safran made her concert debut in Poznań, Poland, enchanting audiences at the Mustang Club and Ogród Szeląg. Transitioning to early autumn, she made a remarkable impression with her inaugural American performance at the historic Los Angeles venue, The Troubadour. Despite the venue's illustrious past featuring performances by renowned artists such as The Doors, Elton John, Metallica, Fiona Apple, and even Lenny Bruce, Lou Lou Safran embraced the challenge with unwavering confidence and bravado, captivating and charming the audience and LA music critics alike. Additionally, Lou Lou has been actively collaborating with various artists and music producers in Los Angeles, Nashville, and Seattle throughout the year. Notably, her tender acoustic rendition of The Lumineers' hit "Cleopatra" was featured on the band's social media profiles in October.
